이번 전시는 “콘크리트 드림”이라는 제목 아래 신작 유토피아 시리즈를 선보인다. 또한, 전시장 1층에서는 북촌에 자리한 찻집, 월하보이 @whtea_seoul 그의 시선으로 담아낸 그림과 함께 티 세레모니 세션을 진행한다.2층에서는 브루탈리즘을 기반으로 한 상상의 건축물 시리즈, “유토피아”를 선보인다. 지난 5월 아트부산에서 처음으로 선보인 이 시리즈는 기존의 작품과 달리 모노톤의 미니멀한 작품이다. 전시의 제목처럼 철골과 콘크리트를 그대로 노출시킨 브루탈리즘 양식에 상상력을 더해 자신만의 건물을 완성했다. 얼핏 단순해 보이나 하나의 선과 면마다 작가만의 치밀한 표현력을 볼 수 있다. 또한, 외형을 따라 제작된 프레임은 마치 건축의 일부인 양 작품을 단단하게 지지한다.그의 유토피아는 생명력을 가진 식물 그림과 함께 전시되며, 패션 브랜드 에이카 화이트 @aeca_official 함께한 협업 상품을 전시장 한편에서 만나볼 수 있다._Working With Thibaud Herem2024.9.4 - 9.22Tue - Sat,12 - 6pmat WWF (162 Hannam-Daero)This exhibition,titled “Concrete Dreams,” showcases a new series called Utopia. On the first floor of the gallery, there will also be a tea ceremony session featuring paintings by WH Tea who captured the essence of a tea house located in Bukchon.On the second floor, the exhibition presents the Utopia series, an imaginary architectural series based on Brutalism. First unveiled at Art Busan last May, this series is distinct from previous works, characterized by monochromatic minimalism. As the title suggests, the artist has created his own buildings by exposing the steel frames and concrete typical of the Brutalism style, adding a layer of imagination. While the works may seem simple at first glance, the artist’s meticulous expression is evident in every line and plane. Additionally, the frames that follow the structure’s form support the artwork as if they were a part of the architecture itself.His Utopia is displayed alongside vibrant botanical paintings, and visitors can also explore collaborative products created with the fashion brand Aeca White in one corner of the gallery.
